Pre-Lim Posts

Make sure your A2 Blog has at least 5 posts showing the work and activities of your group task.

Suggested post titles:
1. Roles in the Group - Refer to the task

2. Storyboard - Upload drawn draft from Group area. You could provide a link to real video used as a style model.

3. Filming: Location - Actors -Props- Camera angles etc

4. Editing - Using iMovie - Effects - Music  - Sound effects etc

5. Upload your Video from Group Folder: Bullet point things you did well & things you would improve for the main task

First task for A2


Hi Year 13 - Welcome back

Work to start the term
  • We are going to work in small groups 3/4 maximum
  • Create our own Production company
  • Decide specific roles for each member of the group - e.g. Director, Props & Costumes, Location Hunter, Cameraman, Editor, Script Writer/Story Boards, Sound Technician etc (You may have multi roles)
  • Create two blogs - One to record your personal work - planning research etc
  • Use your posts to to add to the Production Companies Blog (Multiple contributors)


Task this week:

To establish potential Working groups & focus on A2 Brief selection
You will Plan a short video ( Less than a minute) based on your interpretation of a real Media artefact - This can be a section of a Film Trailer - Advert - Music Video
You must:

  1. Research agreed style model
  2. Script-write & Storyboard the ideas
  3. Rehearse the Scene with Actors within the group
  4. Film
  5. Edit
  6. Post you individual & Group work
  7. Present to Audience (Our Class) with agreed Time Frame, (Agreed by Us)

Now that you have completed your Draft Task....


  • Please post your Draft Video.
  • Encourage feedback from your Target audience
  • You then need to prepare a Strengths & Weakness review.
  • Consider things that you are pleased with and then provide a list of things you must do better for your actual coursework brief. (Bullet point with brief explanation for clarity) This is important because the examiner can measure the improvements made in your final piece.
  • Refer to the Lonk below to review the type of Blogs recorded for level 4 wotk. The 'IT Film  Company' should be an excellent reference point for you in terms of number of Posts, Quality, Decisions made etc

  • Decide name for your production company
  • Decide the role(s) that you will take through Planning - Production -Post production.(You must decide
